    Study on the psychological health of college students with left-behind experience in normal colleges under the perspective of positive psychology

    • ObjectiveTaking the left-behind experience as an entry point, to explore the status quo of psychological health of normal college students under the perspective of positive psychology in order to promote the harmonious development of college students' psychological health.
      MethodsThe left-behind experience of college students from some normal colleges in Fuyang city and Anqing city of Anhui province investigated, and the level of students' mental health was comprehensively understood using the SCL-90 symptom self-assessment scale.
      ResultsStudents' mental health level is quite different according to the following factorswhether their parents are both going out for work, how long their parents going out for work, at what age they became unattended children, and how frequent they reunite with their parents.We have compared two groups of students. Students from group one, whose parents are both woking out for more than one year, all became unattented children before primary school age, and they reunite with their parents more than half a year each time.Students from group two, only one of whose parents are working out for no more than a year, all became unattented children after junior middle school age, and they reunite with their parents less than half a year each time.According to statistics, the mental health level of students from group one is lower than that of group two(P < 0.01).
      ConclusionsThe left-behind experience has certain influence on the mental health of normal college students.The targeted mental health education should be implemented for students.
