Comparative analysis of the clinical effect between inflation-free and inflation single-hole laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair

    • ObjectiveTo compare the clinical effects between inflation-free and inflation single-hole laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair(TEP).
MethodsEighty adult patients with inguinal hernia were randomly divided into the observation group and control group(40 cases each group). The observation group was treated with inflation-free single-hole TEP, and the control group was treated with inflation single-hole TEP.The clinical effects between two groups were compared.
ResultsThe differences of the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization cost and hospitalization time between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The pain score in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P < 0.01).The incision satisfaction in observation group(95.00%) was higher than that in control group(75.00%)(P < 0.05).The postoperative recurrence in two groups was not found.
ConclusionsThe inflation-free single-hole TEP in treating inguinal hernia is safe, feasible, and has high degree of acceptance, which has certain clinical application value.
