    Evaluation of the effect of the standardized training of department of department of rheumatology and immunology in internal medicine students

    • ObjectiveTo understand the effects of standardized training of rheumatology and immunology department in internal medicine students, and provide a basis for further improving the effects of training.
      MethodsIn this study, the convenience sampling method was adopted.From December 2018 to January 2019, the residential training students from the medical professional base of Anhui Provincial Hospital were investigated using self-filling questionnaire survey of self-designed questionnaire.
      ResultsA total of 195 participants were investigated.Before the rotation of rheumatology and immunology department, 87.18% of participants encountered rheumatic patients in clinical work.Eighty-eight students had participated in the rotation of rheumatology and immunology department, and 107 students had not.Compared to non-rotating students, the 79.55%, 77.27% and 80.68% of the rotating students understood the diagnostic criteria, differential criteria and treatment methods of three or more common diseases in rheumatology and immunology department, respectively, the ratio of those in rotating students was higher than those in non-rotating students(P < 0.01).The understanding degree of anti-rheumatism drugs and clinical skills of rheumatology and immunology department in rotating students were significantly better than those in non-rotating students(P < 0.01).Most of the students thought that the teaching rounds and case discussions were good method of rotation training in rheumatology and immunology department, the daily performance assessment was good the assessment method, and the professional title of the teacher was physician for more than three years.
      ConclusionsThe standardized training of rheumatology and immunology department can significantly improve the students' knowledge, clinical skills, diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic immune disease, and professional skills and level of diagnosis and treatment.
