The application effect of standardized management of painless care ward in postoperative pain control in patients with gastric cancer

    • ObjectiveTo observe the application effects of standardized management of painless care ward on postoperative pain control in patients with gastric cancer.
MethodsSixty-seven gastric cancer patients treated with operation were divided into the observation group(34 cases) and control group(33 cases) according to random digital table method. The observation group were nursed with a new type of pain management(namely the standardized management of painless care) during perioperative period, and the traditional analgesic mode was performed in control group. The related clinical indexes were compared between two groups.
ResultsThere was not death in both groups, and the pain scores in observation group after 3 h, 1 d and 2 d of surgery were significantly lower than those in control group(P < 0.01), the time of night sleep in observation group after 0 d, 1 d and 2 d of operation were longer than that in control group(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).The time of the first time out of bed and anus exhaust, and hospitalization days in observation group were less than those in control group(P < 0.05).The differences of the feeding time, incidence of postoperative complications, and total hospitalization costs were not statistically significant(P < 0.05).The satisfaction degree of the postoperative pain(82.3%) in observation group was higher than that in control group(57.6%)(P < 0.05).
ConclusionsThe standardized management of painless care ward can reduce the postoperative pain degree, prolong the sleep time, shorten the time of anus exhaust, and improve the satisfaction degree during hospitalization of patients with gastric cancer. It is worthy of application in clinic.
