Correlation analysis between disease uncertainty and negative psychology of parent in children with primary nephrotic syndrome

    • ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between the disease uncertainty and negative psychology of parent in children with primary nephrotic syndrome.
MethodsOne hundred and thirteen children with primary nephrotic syndrome and their parents were investigated using the disease uncertainty scale(MUIS-FM), self-rated symptom table(SCL-90).
ResultsThe score of negative psychology of parents was(1.71±0.84), which was higher than that of domestic norms(1.45±0.79) (P < 0.01), the scores of somatization symptoms, anxiety, depression, paranoia and fear of patients were higher than those of domestic norms(P < 0.01).The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the disease uncertainty of parents was positively correlated with negative psychology(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThere is a positive correlation between the disease uncertainty of parents and negative psychology in children with primary nephrotic syndrome. Some corresponding measures should be taken to ensure the physical and mental health of parents.
