ObjectiveTo observe the effects of acupuncture at Du meridian and Jiaji acupoint on balance function of patients with cerebral infarction.
MethodsSixty patients with balance dysfunction after cerebral infarction were randomly divided into the control group and treatment group(30 cases in each group).Two groups was treated with conventional drug and rehabilitation, and the treatment group was additionally treated with acupuncture at Du meridian and Jiaji acupoint for 4 weeks.The Sheikh trunk control ability score, Berg balance function score and improved Barthel index were observed before and after the treatment.
ResultsAfter treatment, the Sheikh's trunk control ability score, Berg balance function score and improved Barthel index in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the improvement degree in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.01), and the differences of the three indexes between two group0s were statistically significant(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsAcupuncture at Du meridian and Jiaji acupoint has good effects on the balance function of patients with cerebral infarction.
