    • ObjectiveTo compare the teaching effect of online teaching method under the background of COVID-19 outbreak with traditional teaching method under no COVID-19 outbreak in health service management course.
MethodsFifty-eight undergraduates of 2017 and 56 undergraduates of 2016 whose major is information management and information system in School of Health Management of Bengbu Medical College were taken as observation group and control group, respectively.Online teaching method was used under the background of COVID-19 outbreak in the observation group, while the control group adopted the traditional teaching method based on face-to-face classroom instruction during the no epidemic period. The effect of Evaluate the two groups were evaluated by the way of interview the students, design questionnaires, and analysis the course score.
ResultsThe observation group is higher than the control group in terms of interest in curriculum, learning autonomy, teacher input, teaching method evaluation, etc., and lower than the control group in terms of classroom atmosphere, teacher answering speed, theoretical and practical ability training, teaching effect evaluation and teaching satisfaction(P < 0.01).Compared with traditional teaching mode, online teaching mode needed more extracurricular learning time. The scores of course in the control group (84.21±7.81) were higher than those in the observation group(69.92±6.01), the difference of which was statistically significant(t=10.92, P < 0.01).
