Analysis of the resilience of patients with COPD and its influencing factors

    • ObjectiveTo analyze the resilience of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and its influencing factors.
MethodsOne hundred patients with COPD and 100 healthy people were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively. The resilience scores were compared between two groups, and the influencing factors of resilience of patients with COPD were analyzed.
ResultsThe total resilience scale(RS) score, personal ability score and acceptance of self and life score in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P < 0.01).The RS scores of male patients, patients with high school or higher education level, patients with stable condition, patients with relatively worse or general family relationships and patients with GWB scores ≥71 points were higher than those of female patients, patients with middle school or lower education level, patients with acute exacerbation, patients with good family relationships and patients with GWB scores < 71 points(P < 0.01).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the RS scores of male, high education level, high GWB score, stable stage of disease and good family relationships patients were higher, and their resilience was better(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe resilience of patients with COPD is poor, and the clinical nurses should understand their resilience in real time, and take effective nursing intervention measures to improve the resilience of patients.
