    Effect of prednisone combined with self-designed anti-pulmonary fibrosis prescription on pulmonary function, serological index and exercise endurance in patients with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis

    • ObjectiveTo explore the effects of prednisone combined with self-made anti-pulmonary fibrosis prescription on pulmonary function, serological indexes and exercise endurance in patients with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis.
      MethodsSeventy patients with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis were randomly divided into the control group and observation group using random number table method(35 cases in each group).The control group was treated with prednisone acetate, while the observation group was treated with prednisone acetate combined with self-made anti-pulmonary fibrosis prescription.The lung function, serum inflammatory factors, serum fibrosis indexes, exercise endurance and other indexes were observed in two groups.
      ResultsAfter treatment, the FVC, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).The proportion of ground glass density shadow, interlobular septal thickening, subpleural arc shadow, interlobular interstitial thickening, beehive lung and bronchovascular bundle thickening in observation group was lower than those in control group(P < 0.05).The levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α), IL-1 β, FIB and D-dimer in observation group were lower than those in control group(P < 0.01).The levels of hyaluronic acid, procollagen type Ⅲ, type Ⅳ collagen and layer mucins in observation group were lower than those in control group(P < 0.01).The 6-minute walking distance(6 MWD) in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.05).
      ConclusionsPrednisone combined with self-made anti-pulmonary fibrosis prescription can improve the patients' lung function, reduce serum inflammatory factors and serum fibrosis indexes, and enhance patients' exercise endurance.
