Clinical value of ultrasonic rinsing technique in the application of the one-time root canal therapy of pulpitis

    • ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effects of the ultrasonic rinsing technique in the one-time root canal therapy for pulpitis patients.
MethodsFour hundred and twelve teeth in 397 pulpitis patients were randomly divided into the observation group(205 teeth of 198 pulpitis patients)and control group(207 teeth of 199 pulpitis patients)randomly. The nickel titanium root canal in all patients were prepraed under local anesthesia, and the root canal in the observation group and control group were flushed with 2% sodium hypochlorite and 0.9% sodium chloride solution using ultrasonic oscillometer and 5 mL syringe, respectively. After flushing, all patients were filled with dry root tube thermocompression gel.The filling rate of lateral root canal, pain response after 1 week and curative effects after 1 year of treatment were recorded in two groups.
ResultsThe filling rate of lateral root canal in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.01).The incidence rate of pain in control group was significantly higher than that in observation group(P < 0.01).There was no statistical significance in long-term clinical efficacy between two groups(P>0.05).
ConclusionsThe ultrasonic rinsing technique in the one-time root canal therapy of pulpitis can improve the filling rate of lateral root canal, reduce the pain response, and improve the curative effect of root canal treatment of patients.
