Analysis of quality of life status and its influencing factors in maintenance hemodialysis patients

    • ObjectiveTo analyze the influencing factors of quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
MethodsThe general and clinical data of 88 patients treated with maintenance hemodialysis were collected, and the SF-36 scale scores of the patients with different age, gender, marital status, educational level, working status, family per capita monthly income, payment method of medical expense, sleep condition and condition of complicated diseases were compared. The factors with statistical significance were set as the independent variables, the score of SF-36 scale was set as the dependent variable, and the factors affecting the quality of life of maintenance hemodialysis patients were screened using multiple linear regression analysis.
ResultsThe results of single factor analysis showed that the differences of the total scores of physical health and mental health among the patients with different ages, marital status, educational level, family per capita monthly income, work status and sleep quality were statistically significant(P < 0.01), and the total scores of the physical health and mental health in patients complicated with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart disease and respiratory disease were significantly lower than those in patients complicated without the above diseases(P < 0.01).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the age, family per capita monthly income, sleep quality, diabetes, hypertension mellitus, heart disease and respiratory disease were the independent influencing factors of total scores of physical health and mental health score of SF-36 scale(P < 0.05).
ConclusionsThe age, income, sleep and complicated diseases were the influencing factors of quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
