Application value of laparoscopic hepatectomy in hepatocellular carcinoma

    • ObjectiveTo explore the clinical value of laparoscopic hepatectomy in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
MethodsThe clinical data of 169 patients with the pathological diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively, and the clinical effects of laparoscopy and laparotomy in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma were compared.
ResultsThe operation time in the laparoscopy group was longer than that in the laparotomy group(P < 0.05), while the intraoperative blood loss and postoperative hospital stay in the laparoscopy group were significantly lower than those in the laparotomy group(P < 0.01).The utilization rate of postoperative analgesics in the laparoscopy group was significantly lower than that in the laparotomy group(P < 0.01).The levels of peripheral blood albumin in the laparoscopy group were higher than that in open group on the 3rd and 7th day after operation. The levels of ALT and AST in laparoscopy group were lower than those in the laparotomy group on the 3th, 7th and 30th day after operation. There was no significant difference in serum albumin levels, overall incidence of postoperative complications, total bilirubin changes and tumor recurrence rate within 2 years after operation between the two groups.
ConclusionsLaparoscopic surgery for hepatocellular carcinoma has the same therapeutic effect as open surgery with shorter hospital stay and faster recovery.
