Comparison of the therapeutic effects of butylphthalide sodium chloride injection on different TOAST types of acute cerebral infarction

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of butylphthalide sodium chloride injection on different subtypes of patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI) in TOAST classification.

MethodsOne hundred and eighty patients with ACI were classified according to the TOAST classification standard, and divided randomly into the control group(60 cases) and observation group(120 cases).The control group was treated with the routine medical treatment, and the observation group was additionally treated with butylphthalide sodium chloride injection on the basis of the routine treatment.The NIHSS score and ADL score in the two groups before treatment and after 2 weeks of treatment were recorded, and the total effective rate and efficacy of the same subtype were compared between the two groups.

ResultsAfter 2 weeks of treatment, the NIHSS score in observation group(5.50±3.44) points was significantly lower than that in control group(8.02±3.39) points, and the score of ADL in observation group(61.83±9.79) points was significantly higher than that in control group(56.42±10.21) points (P < 0.01).After 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate in observation group(88.3%) was higher than that in control group(78.4%), and the overall response rate of type LAA patients was higher than that of type CE and SAO patients in observation group(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).

ConclusionsButylphthalide sodium chloride injection has good effects on patients with ACI, which can significantly improve the symptoms of neurological impairment and self-care ability of patients, and has better effects on LAA patients in TOAST classification.
