Screening of key biomarkers of osteosarcoma based on bioinformatics analysis

    • ObjectiveTo analyze the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in osteosarcoma gene expression profiling chips using bioinformatics methods to identify the key genes involved in the development of osteosarcoma.
MethodsThe expression profile gene chip data was downloaded from the GEO database, and the DEGs were screened using bioinformatics methods. The gene GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis of DEGs were performed on differentially expressed genes using the DAVID online database. The protein-protein interaction network analysis of DEGs of osteosarcoma was implemented using the STRING online software, MCODE plug-in of Cytoscape and cytoHubba plug-in to find the key gene.
ResultsA total of 95 DEGs were screened, which were mainly enriched in cell adhesion molecules, antigen processing and presentation signaling pathways. The CD74, LAPTM5, CD163, MS4A6A, HLA-DRA, CD86, FCER1G, C1QB, TYROBP and AIF1 genes located at the core.
      ConclusionsCD74, LAPTM5, CD163, MS4A6A, HLA-DRA, CD86, FCER1G, C1QB, TYROBP and AIF1 may play an important role in the development of osteosarcoma.
