Application of integrated medical teaching mode in standardized training of emergency medical residents

    • ObjectiveTo explore the teaching effects of integrated medical teaching mode in the standardized training of emergency medical residents.
MethodsFifty trainees from the standardized training base for emergency medical residents in The First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 25 trainees in each group. The traditional teaching method was used in the control group and the integrated teaching method was used in the observation group. The comprehensive evaluation was carried out by the combination of questionnaire survey and practical skill assessment. The clinical skill examination results and satisfaction evaluation of teaching effect in the two groups were compared.
ResultsThe scores of debridement and suture, gastric lavage, endotracheal intubation, nasogastric tube intubation, cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation and case analysis ability of the trainees in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P < 0.01).The satisfaction scores of teaching effect in health awareness, first aid skill, scientific research and innovation ability, communication ability, problem solving and analyzing ability, knowledge mastery, stimulating learning interest and improving clinical thinking ability of the trainees in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe application of integrated medical teaching mode in the standardized training of emergency medical residents is helpful to improve the trainees' scientific research and innovation ability, first aid skill, knowledge mastery, communication ability and clinical thinking ability, and the teaching effect is significantly improved.
