ObjectiveTo explore the effect of timeliness incentive nursing on postoperative rehabilitation of patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM).
MethodsNinety patients with CSM treated by surgery were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given timeliness incentive nursing on the basis of routine nursing.Age, gender, course of disease, operation time, time of field activity, length of hospital stay, surgical approach, pathological segment, basic disease, visual analogue scale (VAS) score before and after nursing, JOA score, cervical spine activity (ROM), quality of life (QOL), complications and nursing satisfaction in the two groups were recorded.
ResultsThe underground activity time and hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.01).Compared with that before nursing, VAS score decreased significantly(P < 0.01), JOA score and ROM increased significantly in the two groups after nursing (P < 0.01).Compared with the control group, the improvement of the observation group was more significant (P < 0.01).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.01).Two months and 6 months after nursing, the scores of physiological function, physiological function, physical pain, overall health, energy, emotional function, social function, and mental health in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P < 0.01).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).
ConclusionsTimeliness incentive nursing can effectively improve the postoperative rehabilitation level of CSM patients, reduce pain, reduce the incidence of complications, improve QOL index and nursing satisfaction.
