ObjectiveTo understand the current status of post-traumatic growth in patients with femoral shaft fractures, and analyze the mediating effect of self-efficacy between family care and post-traumatic growth.
MethodsA total of 139 patients after femoral shaft fracture surgery were selected as the research subjects, and surveyed using the general situation questionnaire, general self-efficacy scale, family APGAR index and post traumatic growth inventory.Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between self-efficacy, family care, and post-traumatic growth, and a structural equation model was established to test the mediating effect.
ResultsThe total score of patients' self-efficacy after femoral shaft fracture surgery was(22.64±4.38) points, the total score of family care was(5.12±1.09) points, and the total score of post-traumatic growth was(62.87±7.28) points.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of self-efficacy was significantly positively correlated with the total score of family care and the total score of post-traumatic growth(P < 0.01), the total score of family care was positively correlated with the total score and score of each dimension of post-traumatic growth(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).The results of structural equation model showed that self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect between family care and post-traumatic growth, and the mediating effect accounted for 41.07% of the total effect.
ConclusionsThe scores of self-efficacy, family care and post-traumatic growth in patients after femoral shaft fracture surgery are all at moderate levels.Clinical medical staff should pay attention to the importance of communication, so that patients can maintain a positive and optimistic psychological state to improve the level of post-traumatic growth.
