ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and clinical significance of DLG1 and DLG5 in colorectal adenomatous polyps.
MethodsAccording to histopathologic findings, 36 cases of normal colorectal tissues, 38 cases of inflammatory hyperplastic polyps, 45 cases of adenomatous polyps and 31 cases of colorectal cancer tissues were selected, and the expressions of DLG1 and DLG5 proteins in each group were detected by immunohistochemistry.
ResultsThe positive expression rates of DLG1 and DLG5 in normal colorectal tissues, inflammatory hyperplastic polyps, adenomatous polyps and colorectal cancer tissues were significantly different (P < 0.01);the expressions of DLG1 and DLG5 protein in colorectal adenomatous polyps had no significant difference in the positive rate of different colorectal polyps diameter, location, pedicle, age, sex and number of polyps (P>0.05);there was a positive correlation between the expression of DLG1 and DLG5 protein in colorectal adenomatous polyps(r_s=0.784, P < 0.01).
ConclusionsLow expression of DLG1 and DLG5 plays a role in regulating carcinogenesis of colon polyps.
