Relationship between the expression of serum chemokines CCL5 and CXCL10 and the patient's condition in female patients with delayed acne of stagnation of liver fire

    • Objective To detect the expression levels of serum chemokines CCL5 and CXCL10 in female patients with delayed acne of stagnation of liver fire, and analyze the relationship between them and the patient's condition.
Methods A total of 80 female patients with delayed acne of stagnation of liver fire were collected as the acne group.According to the Pillsbury international modified classification
method of acne, they were divided into mild group (n=23), moderate group (n=32) and severe group (n=25).A total of 80 female healthy subjects with comparable general information during the same period were selected as the control group. The expression levels of serum CCL5 and CXCL10 and the levels of inflammatory factors interleukin (IL)-1β, interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and IL-2 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the differences in each group were analyzed. The correlation of CCL5 and CXCL10 with IL-1β, IFN-γ and IL-2 was analyzed by Pearson method.
Results The expression levels of serum CCL5, CXCL10, IL-1β, IFN-γ and IL-2 in the acne group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01).The expression levels of serum CCL5 and CXCL10 were not related to the age, body mass index and menstrual status of the acne group (P>0.05).The expression levels of serum CCL5 and CXCL10 in patients with premenstrual aggravation were higher than those without premenstrual aggravation, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01).The expression levels of serum CCL5, CXCL10, IL-1β, IFN-γ, and IL-2 in the severe, moderate and mild groups were gradually decreased, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The correlation analysis showed that CCL5 and CXCL10 were positively correlated with IL-1β, IFN-γ and IL-2 (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).
Conclusions The expression of CCL5 and CXCL10 is up-regulated in the female patients with delayed acne of stagnation of liver fire. The more severe the disease, the higher the expression level, which can provide a reference for clinical evaluation and treatment of the severity of delayed acne.
