Expression levels and significance of chemokine C-C motif ligand 2 and protein of C region of immunoglobulin κ chain in patients with acute myeloid leukemia

    • Objective To investigate the expression levels and clinical significance of protein of C region of immunoglobulin κ chain (IGKC) and chemokine C-C motif ligand 2(CCL2) in patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
Methods Eighty patients with acute myeloid leukemia and 40 healthy people during the same period were divided into the observation group and control group. The serum levels of IGKC and CCL2 in two groups were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the serum levels of IGKC and CCL2 of different types of patients in observation group were compared. The correlations between the levels of IGKC and CCL2 and levels of procalcitonin(PCT) and C-reactive protein(CRP) in the observation group were analyzed by Pearson method. The diagnostic value of serum levels of IGKC, CCL2, PCT and CRP of different types of patients in the observation group were analyzed using ROC curve.
Results The serum levels of IGKC, CCL2, PCT and CRP in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.01). The differences of the serum levels of IGKC, CCL2, PCT and CRP in patients with different WHO and ELN type were statistically significant (P < 0.01), and the serum levels of IGKC, CCL2, PCT and CRP in patients with M3-M4 and M5-M6 types were higher than those in patients with M1-M2 type (P < 0.05). The serum levels of IGKC, CCL2, PCT and CRP in moderate and bad type patients were higher than those in good type patients (P < 0.05). The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum level of IGKC was positively correlated with CCL2, PCT and CRP in the observation group (r=0.393, 0.302, 0.487, P < 0.05), and the serum level of CCL2 was positively correlated with PCT and CRP (r=0.510, 0.516, P < 0.05). The results of ROC curve analysis showed that the serum levels of IGKC and CCL2 had higher diagnostic value in the M1-M2 and M5-M6 type acute myeloid leukemia, and the AUC was above 0.75.
Conclusions The serum levels of IGKC and CCL2 are high in the patients with acute myeloid leukemia, and both have a certain auxiliary diagnosis value in acute myeloid leukemia.
