Effect of nerve function reconstruction therapy system combined with mirror therapy on the upper limb function of stroke patients

    • Objective To investigate the effects of nerve function reconstruction therapy system combined with mirror therapy on the upper limb function in stroke patients.
Methods A total of 80 stroke patients were randomly divided into the observation group(mirror therapy, nerve function reconstruction treatment system intervention and routine rehabilitation training, 40 cases) and control group(nerve function reconstruction treatment system intervention and routine rehabilitation training, 40 cases). The neurological function, upper extremity function and sEMG test results in two grousp were compared between before and after intervention.
Results After intervention, the clinical neurological impairment score in two groups decreased compared with that before intervention(P < 0.01), and the difference of the decreasing degree of which in the observation group was statistically significant(P < 0.01).After intervention, the Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment scale and arm movement test scores in two groups increased compared with those before intervention(P < 0.01), and the differences of the decreasing degrees of which in the observation group was statistically significant(P < 0.01).After intervention, the sEMG test results of upper limbs in two groups increased compared with those before intervention(P < 0.01), and the difference of the decreasing degree of which in the observation group was statistically significant(P < 0.01).
Conclusions Mirror therapy combined with nerve function reconstruction therapy system can effectively improve the nerve function and upper limb function of stroke patients, and promote the recovery of upper limb muscle group, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
