Construction of a warning risk assessment tool for uterine rupture in pregnancy and its reliability and validity testing

    • Objective To construct a warning risk assessment tool for uterine rupture during pregnancy in China and test its reliability and validity.
Methods The evaluation index system was preliminarily constructed by literature review, cases analysis and group discuss, developed the assessment tool by Delphi method and pre-investigation.
Results The warning risk assessment tool for uterine rupture during pregnancy included 4 dimensions (general information, medical history, symptoms and signs, and related tests) and 27 items. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.760, the retest reliability was 0.879, and the inter-rater reliability was 0.940.The content validity of the scale was 0.920, the correlation coefficient between the scores of each dimension and the total score was 0.658-0.808, and the correlation coefficient between each item was 0.557-0.780.Six factors were extracted in the factor analysis and the accumulated variance contribution rate was 70.17%.
Conclusions The content of risk assessment tool of uterine rupture during pregnancy constructed is reliable, scientific and complete, which will help nurses in emergency department to rapidly and accurately identify high-risk patients with uterine rupture. It has important clinical guiding significance for improving the treatment ability of clinical critically pregnant women, reducing the incidence of uterine rupture, and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates.
