Influence of subjective stress perception on preoperative anxiety in patients treated with coronary intervention

    • Objective: To understand the current situation of preoperative anxiety, subjective stress perception,multi-dimensional perceived social support and coping adaptation processing in patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),and analyze the chain multiple mediating effects of multi-dimensional perceived social support and coping adaptation processing on the relationship between subjective stress perception and anxiety in preoperative PCI patients. Methods: A total of 236 PCI patients were selected as the research subjects, and investigated using the gerenal information questionnaire,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),Chinese perceived stress scale(CPSS),perceived social support scale(PSSS) and condensed roy adaptation processing scale-15(CAPS-15).The Pearson method was used to analyze the correlation, and Amos 21.0 software was used to establish a structural equation modeling (SEM) and conduct a mediation effect test. Results: The anxiety score, subjective stress perception score, social support score and coping and adaptation processing score of 236 preoperative PCI patients were (48.62±9.28),(30.37±6.42),(50.38±7.66) and (33.54±5.48) points, respectively. There was a positive correlation between anxiety and subjective stress perception, and a negative correlation between multi-dimensional perception of social support and coping adaptation. The subjective stress perception was negatively correlated with multi-dimensional perception of social support and coping adaptation, and there was a positive correlation between multi-dimensional perception of social support and coping adaptation (P<0.05 to P<0.01).The chain multiple mediating effect of subjective stress perception on anxiety in preoperative PCI patients was established, with the total indirect effect accounting for 39.39% of the total effect.Among them, the specific mediating effect of perceived social support accounted for 19.46%,the specific mediating effect of coping adaptation.accounted for 15.03%,and the chain multiple mediating effect of perceived social support and coping adaptation accounted for 4.90%. Conclusions: The chain multiple mediation of perceived social support and coping adaptation between subjective stress perception and anxiety is established, which confirms that subjective stress perception can affect anxiety state by adjusting the level of perceived social support and coping adaptation.
