Comparative study on improved cleaning devices for rigid endoscope lines

Objective: To observe the difference of application effect between a new type of rigid endoscopic line cleaning device and the conventional rigid endoscopic line cleaning method. Methods: From April to September 2020, 4 570 rigid endoscopic lines were cleaned by manual cleaning method, and the control group was set up.From April to September 2021, the rigid endoscopic line cleaning device was used to clean the rigid endoscopic line for 4 650 times, and the observation group was set up.The unqualified rate, water falling rate, damage rate and cleaning efficiency of rigid endoscope fine cleaning in the two groups were compared. Results: The unqualified rate, falling and damage rate of rigid endoscopic line cleaning in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.01), and the average cleaning time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.01). Conclusions: The rigid endoscopic line cleaning device proposed in this study has obvious effect in improving the cleaning efficiency of rigid endoscopic line, reducing the water falling rate and damage rate, and ensuring the cleaning quality.
