Application effects of the information traceability system combined with the instrument atlas technology in the regenerative rigid endoscopic instruments

    • Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the information traceability system combined with the instrument atlas technology in the application of reprocessing of regenerative rigid endoscopic instruments.
Methods The convenience sampling method was adopted to conduct a comparison before and after the integrated application of the information traceability system and instrument atlas technology. The control group consisted of 54 packages(a total of 648 pieces) of instruments treated with conventional methods from June to August 2024.The observation group consisted of 54 packages(a total of 648 pieces) of instruments treated with the integrated application of information traceability system and instruments atlas technology from September to November 2024.The qualified rates of cleaning, disassembly and assembly of instruments between two groups were compared.Meanwhile, the instrument management score, incidence of disposal defects and satisfaction of the surgical department were evaluated.
Results The qualified rates of cleaning, disassembly and assembly in the observation group were higher than those in control group(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).The score of instrument management and satisfaction of surgical department in the observation group were higher than those in control group(P < 0.01).The total incidence of instrument package disposal defects in the observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusions The information traceability system combined with the instrument atlas technology in the application of reprocessing of regenerative rigid endoscopic instruments can improve the processing quality, increase the operational efficiency, reduce the defect rates and enhance the satisfaction of surgical department.
