Application of three-dimensional visualization technology in robotic surgical education for adrenal tumor resection

    • Objective To study the application effect of three-dimensional visualization technology in surgical teaching for clinical interns.
Methods A total of 40 clinical undergraduate interns from The First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. The control group received traditional medical theory education combined with two-dimensional atlas or mold video explanations, while the observation group received teaching under the conditions of three-dimensional visualization technology application.
Results After training, the observation group had higher scores in basic theory, practical operation, and total score than the control group (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01). And compared with the control group, the excellent rate of the observation group was significantly improved (P < 0.01). In terms of understanding, intuitiveness, vividness, and satisfaction with teaching methods, the observation group scored significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.01).
Conclusions The application of three-dimensional visualization technology in clinical surgical teaching can significantly improve teaching effectiveness, enhance the fun and intuitiveness of teaching, and achieve higher satisfaction rates compared to traditional two-dimensional teaching methods.
