Treatment of comminuted zygoma fracture by scalp semi-coronoid incision

Objective:To evaluate the coronal approach in treatment of zygomatic fractures. Methods:The clinical data of 34 cases of zygomatic fracture which had been treated through semi-coronal incision and fixed internally with a mini-titanium plate in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Results:All the cases healed at one stage. No complication occurred after the operation. The facial contour and function recovered well. Conclusions:It is safe and effective to treat the zygomatic fracture by the approach of semi-coronal incision and internal fixation with a mini-titanium plate.
