Abstract
Objective: To assess the relationship between the life quality and the cardiac function of patients with congestive heart failure. Methods: Seventy-eight patients with congestive heart failure were surveyed by Minnesota Living with Heart failure questionnaire(LiHFe)and their life quality was assessed. Results: The physical limitation, emotional scale and symptom scores of the patients were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.01),but the social and economic limitation did not change much(P>0.05).With the rise of NYHA classification, the LiHFe score increased significantly(P<0.01) and the LiHFe score was significantly different between different grades(P<0.01).The physical limitation, emotional scale, symptom and social limitation scores increased with the elevation of NYHA classification(P<0.01).There was little association between the LiHFe score and the EF.Conclusions: Patients with congestive heart failure experience pronounce restrictions in quality of life.Cardiac function is related to NYHA classification but has no correlation with EF.
