Changes and significance of CD35, CD44s, CD58 expressed on erythrocyte in patients with chronic renal failure

    • Objective: To study the changs of immune-molecular CD35,CD44s and CD58 expressions on erythrocyte in patients with chronic renal failure and their significance. Methods: CD35,CD44s and CD58 expressions on erythrocyte in 30 patients with chronic renal failure(CRF) and 50 healthy controls were measured by the erythrocyte enzyme immunization method for quantitatively assaying complete erythrocyte. Results: The quantity of CD35,CD44s and CD58 on erythrocyte in the CRF group was significantly lower than that in the healthy group(P<0.001).The quantity of CD35,CD44s and CD58 on erythrocyte of dialysed patients increased obviously compared with that of the patients without being dialysed, but the difference between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05).Conclusions: The molecular CD35,CD44s and CD58 expressed on erythrocyte decreas significantly in patients with CRF especially CD35(CR1).It suggests that the complements-mediated adhesion functions are possibly damaged. It may be one of the reasons that the CRF patients are easily infected.
