Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome: A report of 2 cases and suggestions

Abstract
Objective: To explore the clincopathological features of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) cases in North Anhui Province.Methods: The clinical and pathological material of 2 cases were analyzed retrospectively and the associated literature was reviewed.Results: The HIV infection was confirmed by Anhui CDC.One case featured continuous fever,wasting,lymphadenopathy and herpes zoster,and the other case manifested respiratory symptoms.Conclusions: In the area of high incidence of HIV infection,the clinical and pathological doctors should be familiar with the presentations and diagnostic criteria of AIDS,and when meeting with patients with diseases of skin,mucosa,lymph nodes and respiratory tract with unknown causes AIDS should be considered and further examinations made.
