Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship between cervical erosion and infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU) and chlamydia trachomatis (CT) in female infertility. Methods: The UU and CT in 169 infertile women were determined by PCR.Sixty-one cases with cervical erosion were enrolled in the observation group and the other 108 cases acted as normal control. Results: The infection rates were 65.57% and 85.19% in the observation group and the control, respectively. The difference was significant (P<0.05).The overall infection rates of UU and CT were 69.82% and 30.18% (P<0.01),respectively.Conclusions: The infection of UU is the main factor for infertility.
