Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of ellagic acid(EA) on the intercellular communication of gap junction(GJ) in Hela cells with stable expresson of Cx32.Methods:The effects of EA on the GJ function were observed by cell labelling fluorescent tracer method. The effects of EA on the Cx32 expression on the membrane of Hela cells were detected by immunofluorescence assay. Results:The cells were treated with 4,8 and 16 mol/L of EA,the penetration rates of cell fluorescence increased by 6.04%,12.50% and 20.33%,respectively(P0.01),the fluorescence intensity of the Cx32 on the membrane increased by 23.66%,46.09% and 92.18%,respectively(P0.01).Conclusions:EA can enhance the communication function of GJ in Hela cells by promoting the Cx32 on the membrane expression.
