Evaluation of clinical nursing pathway in patients with hypertension

    • Objective: To explore the effects of clinical nursing pathway (CNP) on patients with hypertension. Methods: Eighty patients with hypertension were divided into trial group and control group randomly. Forty patients in the control group received traditional nursing, while 40 patients in the trial group accepted CNP. The length of hospital stay, the cost of medicine and the degree of patients' satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The length of hospital stay, the cost of medicine and the degree of patients' satisfaction had significant differences between the two groups(P < 0.05). For the patients of trial group, the length of hospital stay shortened, the cost of medicine decreased, but the degree of patients' satisfaction increased. Conclusions: CNP can improve the therapeutic effect, and give better nursing care for patients with hypertension.
