Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of holmium laser lithotripsy through ureteropyeloscopy on patient with ureteral calculi. Methods:The data of 86 cases underwent holmium laser lithotripsy through ureteropyeloscopy were analysed retrospectively. Gralet rate, lithagogue rate and complication were statistically analysed. Results:Among 86 cases, gralet rate was 82 cases in a single procedure. Ureteral stone moved up into the pelvis in 3 cases, a double J tube was placed in the renal pelvis and extrocorporeal shock wave lithotripsy was used. A case with serious narrow distal ureters was conducted open operation. The mean operative time was (42.3±7.4) min and the mean hospital stay was (2.5±1.7) days. The duration of follow-up was 1 to 3 months for all patients. The stone free rate was 98.8% (85 of 86). Ureteral perforation and postoperative hyperpyrexia happened in 1 case and 6 cases respectively. Conclusions:The method of holmium laser lithotripsy through ureteropyeloscopy is safety, reliability and less invasion, so it is the best way to cure the middle and distal ureter calculi.
