Realization of diagnosis and treatment of primary liver cancer with cancer thrombus of the bile duct

Objective: To evaluate surgical therapy and the effect of hepatectomy plus the clearance of tumor thrombi from bile in the bile duct for primary hepatocellular carcinoma(PLC) with tumorbi in the bile duct.Methods: Nine Patients with PLC and bile duct thrombi(BDT) who underwent surgical intervention were retrospectively analyzed.Results: There was no operative mortality and all patients were followed up for 3-15 months.Two patients were died for a relapse of hepatoma,and seven still alive.Conclusions: Hepatectomy plus the clearance of tumor thrombi from bile duct was effective for treatment of patients with PLC and BDT.
