Evaluation on performance of reticulocytes detection by flow cytometry

Objective: To evaluate the detection of reticulocytes by flow cytometry comprehensively.Methods: The percent of peripheral blood reticulocytes was detected by flow cytometry.The precision reproducibility and stability were observed.The results were compared with manual method and evaluated linearly.Results: Precision CV of the indexes was less than 0.36%,which had a good stability.And the percentage CV at 4℃ in 24 hours was less than 0.43%.With the prolongation of storage time of samples,the results increased slightly,but no effect on clinical diagnosis.It had a positive correlation with manual methods (P<0.01).Conclusions: Analyzing reticuloctyes by flow cytometry is a simple,fast,accurate,stable method and has a good reproducibility.It can meet clinical requirement and replace manual methods.
