The value of detecting anti-DNP antibody, anti-Smith antibody and anti-double stain DNA antibody in diagnosis of SLE

    • Objective: To investigate the significance of anti-DNP antibody, anti Smith antibody and anti-double stain DNA antibody in the patient with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods: Anti-Smith antibody was detected by immuno-blotting technique,anti-double stain DNA antibody by dot immunofiltration assay, and anti-DNP antibody by latex immunoassay. Results: Among the 57 cases, the positive rates of anti-DNP antibody,anti-Smith antibody, and anti-double stain DNA antibody were 73.7%,33.3% and 61.4%,respectively.The total positive rate was 94.7%.Conclusions: In diagnosing SLE,allied examination of anti-DNP antibody, anti Smith antibody,anti-double stain DNA antibody can upraise the positive rate. The above tests are important in tracing patient's condition and judging the prognosis of SLE.Detecting serum anti-DNP can directly improve the detection rate of SLE instead of LE cell(LEC) detection.
