Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of laparoscopic management on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute abdomen and abdominal trauma. Methods: The clinical data of 85 cases of acute abdomen and abdominal trauma were studied respectively. Results: Twenty-nine cases with uncertain etiology were successfully diagnosed by laparoscopy, with a diagnosis rate of 100%;26 cases were operated upon under laparoscopy and 3 cases received open surgery.Fity-five of the 56 cases(98.2%) with a certain pre-operative diagnosis were successfully cured by laparoscopy;2 cases with gastric and duodenal perforation were complicated with abdominal abscess after laparoscopic repair.Of the 56 cases, one died of septic shock for a delayed diagnosis of gastric perforation, and the others were discharged. The response rate was 98.2%.Conclusions: There exists a particular advantage in the diagnosis and treatment of acute abdomen by laparoscopy. It can be well applied in clinic.
