Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of combination chemotherapy of vinorelbine plus cisplatin and gemcitabine plus cisplatin in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods: Forty patients with NSCLC were devided into two groups.Twenty patients received NP(vinorelbine 25 mg/m2 iv d1.d5 and cisplatin 80 mg/m2 d2-d4).Twenty patients received GP(gemcitabine 800 mg/m2 iv d1,d5 and cisplatin 80 mg/m2 d2-d4).Both groups were recycled every 4 weeks and the therapeutic effect were evaluated after two cycles. Results: The objective response rate was 35% in NP group and 40% in GP group(P>0.05).The leukopenia and the incidence of vein inflammation were higher in the NP group than in the GP group, while thrombocytopenia occurred more frequently in the GP group(P<0.05 and P<0.01).Conclusions: No significiant difference was observed in response rate between two groups. The side effects were tolerated.
