Child pancreatoblastoma: One case report and review of the literature

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the morphologic features and differential diagnosis of pancreatoblastoma.Methods: One case of pancreatoblastoma was studied by light microscopy and immunohistochemistry on clinicopathological characteristics.Results: The kid presented an abdominal mass with no symptoms.Microscopic findings showed that mainly composed of epithelial cells,the uniform epithelial cells were polygonal,which formed structures resembling acini,nests and solid islands.Immunohistochemical findings included the tumor cells positive for the CK and AFP,negative for the CEA,CgA,Syn and CD56.Conclusions: Pancreatoblastoma is an extremely rare tumor of the exocrine pancreas,and it is the most common pancreatic neoplasm in children.The present of squamoid nests is characteristics.It should be differentiated from other pancreatic neoplasms.
