Abstract
Objective: To study the influence of arsenic trioxide(As2O3) on the telomerase activity in melanoma B16 cells,so as to provide new theoretical and experimental basis for the treatment of melonoma by As2O3.Methods: The telomerase activity in melonoma B16 cells was detected by TRAP-ELISA and TRAP-PAGE-silver staining. Results: As2O3 could inhibit telomerase activity in melanoma B16 cells and the rates of inhibition had both dose-dependent and time-dependent manner. Conclusions: The inhibition of B16 cells by As2O3 is enhanced with the increase of As2O3 concentration or prolongation of co-culture time.
