Diagnosis and treatment of closed renal injury: Report of 118 cases

Objective: To study the diagnosis and treatment of closed renal injury.Methods: One hundred and eighteen patients with closed renal injury were retrospectively studied.One hundred and ten patients underwent B ultrasonography with the positive rate at 85%.Eighty-six underwent CT with the positive rate at 100%.Ninty-five(80.5%) patients were treated conservatively and 23(19.5%) underwent operation.Results: One hundred and seventeen patients completely recovered while 1 patient died.Conclusions: Diagnosis mainly depends on the clinic manifestation,urine test,B ultrasonography and CT.The extent of the injury should be evaluated accurately and quickly.The most important is to decide the treatment strategy,open surgery or not.
