Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) technology combined with medial supramalleolar perforator flap of posterior tibial artery in repairing foot and ankle wound infection. Methods: Sixteen patients with foot and ankle wound infection were treated with VSD technology at first. The medial supramalleolar perforator flap of posterior tibial artery with 4 cm×10 cm to 8 cm×14 cm was designed, and then the flap was transplanted into the defect site of foot and ankle to repair soft tissue. Results: All flaps survived, and the flap was soft texture and good appearance. No obvious complication was found in donor site. The score of patient satisfaction was 6 to 9 points. Conclusions: VSD technology can promote the recovery of wound infection, and shorten the duration of disease. The clinical effects of VSD technology combined with medial supramalleolar perforator flap of posterior tibial artery in repairing foot and ankle wound infection are good.
