Primary tracheobronchial amyloidosis: Report of 2 cases and review of literature

Abstract
Objective: To study the epidemiology,manifestation,diagnosis and treatment of primary tracheobronchial and pulmonary amyloidosis.Methods: The clinical features of 2 cases of primary tracheobronchial amyloidosis were summarized,and the analysis was performed by reviewing the literature.Micowave,prednisone and alkeran were adopted in the treatment.Results: The most common symptoms of primary tracheobronchial and pulmonary amyloidosis were cough,sputum,dyspnea and emptysis.Biopsy's specimens showed that Congo red stain was all positive.One patient improved markedly and the other went to another hospital.Conclusions: Primary tracheobronchial and pulmonary amyloidosis is rarely seen in clinic and its diagnosis relies on pathology.No specific management has been found up till now.
