Experimental study of the therapeutic effect of Rujianan capsule on hyperplasia of mammary gland

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of Rujianan capsule(RJAC) on mammary hyperplasia in rats.Methods: RJAC,a traditional Chinese medicine,was given to hyperplasia model of rats by per oral.The changes of mammary histocytes,function and sex hormone were observed.Results: RJAC can mend hyperplastic pathologic changes.It can reduce the volume and diameter of mammary gland,the number of breast leaflets and acini.The serum estrogen(E₂) level and the serum progesterone(P) level were decreased(P<0.01).Conclusions: RJAC is effective in treatment of hyperplasia of mammary gland.
