Autologous serum skin test in chronic urticaria

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of autologous serum skin test(ASST) in chronic urticaria.Methods: ASST was performed in 121 patients with chronic urticaria and 16 healthy control subjects.Results: ASST was positive in 41 out of 121 patients with chronic urticaria and the positive rate was 33.9%,while it was negative in all the healthy controls.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions: ASST is of great value in serum autoantibodies screening of the patients with chronic urticaria.
