    Relationship between social anxiety,parental rearing style and self-esteem in medical freshmen

    • Objective: To explore the relationship between social anxiety,parental rearing style and self-esteem among medical freshmen,and to provide theoretical basis for guiadiance to the students' mental health.Methods: Three hundred and thirty-three medical freshmen were questionaired with interaction anxiety scale(IAS),egma minnen av bardndosnauppforstran(EMBU) and self-esteem scale(SES).Results: Medical freshmen's social anxiety was negatively correlated with the emotional warmth,understanding from parents(FFI,MFI)or self-esteem(P<0.01),but was positively correlated with mother's over-interference,over-protection,refusal,rejection and partial love(MF2,MF3 and MF5)(P<0.05).Conclusions: Medical freshmen's social anxiety is influenced by EMBU and SES.
