Ultrasound-guided injection of pingyangmycin for treatment of liver hemangioma

Abstract
Objective: To assess the clinical effect of ultrasound-guided percutaneous injection of pingyangmycin on liver hemangioma.Methods: Sixty-eight cases of liver hemangioma underwent ultrasound-guided percutaneous injection of pingyangmycin.For tumors with a diameter <5 cm,5-8 cm and >8 cm,the dose was 8 mg,16 mg and 24-32 mg,respectively.All the cases were followed up for 6 months.Results: Forty-eight cases of liver hemangioma were cured by one operation,11 cases were cured by 2 treatments and 9 cases by 3.The blood in the hemangioma vanished,with an overall effective rate of 100%.After the operation,5 patients had low fever,8 had upper abdominal pain and dyspnea,and 2 patients felt sick and vomited.After treatment,all the symptoms disappeared.Conclusions: Ultrasound-guided percutaneous injection of pingyangmycin is an effective therapy for treatment for liver hemangioma.It is safe,convenient,easy to operate and has few complications
