Evaluation the diagnostic value of mammography in atypical breast cancer

Objective: To discuss the X-ray manifestations of atypical breast cancer and improve the radiological diagnosis. Methods: The X-ray findings in twenty three cases with breast carcinoma were summarized and analyzed. All cases were confirmed by operation and pathology. Results: Among the 23 patients,5 cases were demonstrated with small focus of increased density,3 cases with bad focal architecture distortion,3 cases with star sign,12 cases with clustered minute calcifications. Conclusions: It is needed to recognize the importance of atypical X-ray findings,it can heighten the detection rate of atypical breast cancer.
