Abstract
Objective: To compare B-Flow and color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) in the detection of internal carotid artery. Methods: The internal carotid artery of forty normal volunteers was detected by B-Flow and CDFI.Results: B-Flow image showed that the artery wall was distinct, the blood was well distributed and identical, while the CDFI image showed overflow color in the near section and color insufficient in the middle and distant section. The B-Flow group was better than the CDFI group in the demonstration of range of internal carotid artery(25.5±5.6)mm and (14.5±7.8)mm(P<0.001).Conclusions: B-Flow can display wider-range of internal carotid artery than CDFI,and can make up for the inadequacy of CDFI in the detection of internal carotid artery.
